Airbrush Class by Guest Instructor Karen Valtin January 1st- Airbrush class will go over unique ways using an airbrush to get that perfectly even skintone. We are using Doll Dreams Full vinyl kits Victoria or Henry.

Ebony Babies by Guest Instructor Eileen Nichols Feb 15th - This class will explain how to get hose nice deep AA baby colors using biracial vinyl. We will be using Michiah by Emily Jameson. You can buy the kits from Emily at a discounted price.





Each Class will go over step by step explaining how to make the skin tones I used for that particular doll. i will show the finished doll before class starts, so you can see it. You have 6 weeks to complete the class. Most can finish in 1-2 weeks, but you can work at your own pace and finish when you like. If you are not complete in 6 weeks, do not worry, A comprehensive E book is mailed out to everyone about 2 weeks into the class, so you can save it to your computer or print it out for your own viewing.
At the end of class, we will hold a contest with the completed babies. Only the suggested kit is eligible to enter the contest. You may use any kit you like for class. All forum members are allowed to vote in the contest. Winner will get a FREE kit for an upcoming class and a beautiful logo!

I think the class should be fine for you. It will have more steps than the basic peaches and cream class that I have out on ebook. I say "advanced" because I have learned new techniques in the couple years since I have done that class, and would like to pass on some of the things that I have learned to make getting that peaches and cream look even more realistic. There is plenty of help and incredibly talented ladies on the forum that will always offer help, if it's needed.

You may want to try a less expensive kit then the Cradle kit that is suggested, but that would be up to you. Only the suggested kit is able to be entered in the contest at the end of class, but any kit can be used. I tend to use the higher end kits, but BB kits are fine, or whatever you like, as long as the vinyl is similar to what we are using.

Lara, If you are looking for Mods for any of those classes I'm in. These classes are going to be wonderful.

You know me, I will mod them for you also, the american indian, Gonna love that one! I am part indian and so his hubby so cant wait for that!!

Lara are we using Adrie's new kit for the Phillipine class that you posted a few days ago? The one Karen didn't like the toes on lol

oh the classes sound WONDERFUL! I hope I am able to take part when the time comes. I am trying to start renovations on my house etc atm so very little money....

Yes, she is on preorder now, and I would like to use her. And Karen didn't like her toes cuz they weren't her toes.... Those were Roseanns limbs, so they looked too big for her. I think she will be a 20-21" baby and Roseanne is 22". As soon as Adrie sculpts the limbs, I will post them.
I also like that chubby new Asian sculpt from Sebilla Bos, but I think she could work as American Indian Also. We we have to keep our eyes out for a good sculpt for the AI class. I think it needs to be open eyes. Maybe even BB kits...Shaynn would work well.

AI=Artificial Intelligence? What AI class? American Indian? OHHHH Well, you know who I think works good for that is Kyra from BB. Brea can work also, but it also depends on the tribe. Some tribes the faces are very round with almond eyes, almost Asian looking.

Oh for AI class I love Shyann but she is hardly ever in stock. I like Kyra and the Sebilla Bos kit you suggested too. I'm easily pleased really lol.

Lara I think there are 2 Adrie kits. When I looked up Liu San on Sandie's website it looks different to the chubby cutie that had the Roseanne limbs you showed us. Are they different and if so, which one should we buy for the Asian class?

I'm so glad you chose the new Evelina Wosnjuk preemies. I bought Julie because she looks so much like I did as a newborn.

BB's Riley also works well as an AI, I did mine as AI and she sold as a BIN on ebay.

Perhaps have a couple of kit choices, our regular high end kit, and for those who struggle with their pennies, add in a nominated BB kit not any BB but a specific one for the class.

I most likely won't be using the twins for preemie class after the cost of my new computer eating into funds big time, but I have Reese sitting ehre so can use him.

The twins is just a suggestions...and not to do both, but to choose one. The thing bout using different kits, is that the vinyl is different. When I I do have more than one kit available, it's always the same vinyl. people can always use their own kit, though.

I can contact her, but the class is not until May...that's a long time away to hold kits. Do her kits usually sell out?

I love the idea of using Shyann for the class. That is one of the most versatile sculpts I think on the market! She can be
whatever ethnicity you want her to be....like Poppy's gorgeous one as caucasion and then as AA and someone here besides me used her for the ME class and she was perfect. Very affordable allowing a greater participation in the contest which would be really nice for a change.

I think it would be fun to do a collection of Shyann's. An AI, a ME, a Caucasion, an Italian, an Asian, and a South American native. It would be so interesting to see how the basic sculpt changes. Oh well when I am rich and bored I will do this! LOL

That's a good deal. Their shipping is higher than most, though, so make sure you figure that into it and see where the best deals are. Creative Impressions has sales sometimes, too.

Everything at irresistibles is more expensive and the customer service is lousy. I really do try to not order from there at all. I'd rather put up with the problems I've had in the past with Sandie rather than deal with irresistibles at all, and that's saying something.

I hate when they rip you off on postage, particularly sending all the way to Australia

I pay a fortune for postage so I try and order a few kits together when I order internationally

But, when I do, do you ever accept payment ahead for classes or whatever? LIke I bank say 200 dollars with you and I get to take advantage of classes or kits until that money is gone? See that way I KNOW I will have it to take advantage of a deal like you just had with the 3 for 2 price! And, it will not be in the general fund where I could be talked out of it bit by bit by Jacky and Micheal. LOL
Just a thought.....sort of like setting up a legacy fund ...

Classes are $45. They run for 6 weeks, and you can work at your own pace, and take part in the discussions and question/answer section. An ebook of the class will be given to you after all the lessons have been posted. If you have any questions, please let me know.

That is probably because I am sold out of kits. I can still have them ordered and sent directly from the sculptors. Which kit did you want and which class? Typically most people pay for the class before they start, but it is posted for 6 weeks, and you can join in at any time. 6 weeks is the deadline to enter the contest though, so it would be great if you can join soon enough to know that you can finish for the contest.
