We usually go on this trip every yr and my cousin and her family go at least part of it with us. Well, we are thinking next yr we will have our own beach house and not share with them! They have 4 kids, 3, 7, 9 and 13. Well, they are a very good christian family, real strick about what kids watch, wear, ect.......Well, they also have certian rules for the kids, like if their bedroom door is shut, you fend for yourself, quietly and dont open door. Sometimes for the obvious reasons, other times its jujst cause they sleep late and dont want the kids to wake them. So, we have the oposite. Our bedroom business is of course private, but when we go to bed, to sleep, our door is open and our kids are welcome to come in, anytime and wake us if they need us, no matter how minor their need. We have always been this way. Well, thier kids seem to think that since they cant go in their parents room, to even use their bathroom, they will wake us up to use ours, watch our tv, ect.....I was like, what the crap!!!
They also seemed to enjoy our food more than their own, helped themselves alot to it.....even tried to eat our food i cooked, without asking!!!! I was like "Really!!!!"
There was even one time when my kids went on the back balcony, by themselves, to eat their snack. Well her kids came out, beagn begging and when my kids said no, they grabbed the food anyway! My 13 yr old, Kalysta, told them that was rude and innapropriate! Their 13 yr old looked at mine and said no, whats rude is you all eating in front of us! Kalysta was like, um, no, we came out here, alone, first! YOU followed!!
It was a mess really, more stress than i cared to deal with on a constant basis. I love my cousin and her family and still want them around, just not ALL the time!! LOL
Plus, when the adults in their family only watch what is approved for the kids, like serioiusly G rated stuff, im talking they were singin the disny channel stuff, it was more than i could take, I need ADULT interaction sometimes!!! LOL
We really feel they were taking advantage of us so next yr, 2 house! LOL Her kids REALLY get on my nerves!!
Oh, and this was so irritating, My cousin was grilling me over my 13 and 15(16 in a few dasy) yr olds 2 pc bathing suits. both suits fully covered and were not hoochy in any way, I felt, well her 13 yr old spent much of the week in a big tshirt and shorts. The last 2 days, she wore her moms 2 pc, the tankini top and bottoms...well, she had no problem with h er 13 yr old wearing this and showing off her goodies, she was falling out of that thing left and right, it was to big and showed her body off!! At least my kids were not exposed for the world to see!!
