Subject: HELP. AA Babies still look pink Sun 19 Aug 2012 - 13:36
i started my aa babies and having trouble. I started with peach kit rather than biracial. i have put 12 layers of 04 and still have a very pink babies. I went back to see if perhaps i missed a step but cant find it. I am thinking of stripping it down and making them caucasian babies. I am super frustrated. Or should I put a layer of matte mixture to help the paint stick better? HELP... Any suggestions? Linda[img][/img]

Yeah, I'd go ahead and matte varnish her(thin with odorless thinner to pea soup consistency) and then continue with the layers to get to the biracial vinyl.

I would. I'd do it until I achieved the desired shade. You can apply about three layers before having to bake, but you still have to watch that you aren't removing the first layer when applying the next.

I agree with Karen. Matte and be sure to pounce a lot with the matte so that the texture will be minimal. The more you work the matte the less texture there is leftover. Be very careful about each layer over another. It is so important to NOT pick up the earlier layers that when I do an ethnic baby I sometimes bake every layer....especially as the skin begins to darken well. It is so frustrating at times I know. but the work is definitely worth it when the baby just all of a sudden POPS! Good luck with them.....and PLEASE keep asking questions we are all here to help each other get it right.
