2012 REAL Christmas Baby Swap!

I took baby for the first outing today. Test results: Adorableness; check (got called precious by a stranger walking by) Realism: Check (scared a random person walking by when I "accidently" didn't support the head when I passed over to another person to hold and fooled a LOT of people in my tiny town.) I love that I can do that when most know I don't have a baby and that I make reborns. Plus baby passed the most important test... the kids at the daycare thought it was a real baby, it's funny how hard they are to fool.

My mom loved baby too and she is my biggest critic (in a loving way) she is the only one who really looks at them with a critical eye and tells me not just what I want to hear but what she really thinks I need to change or work on with each one.

Now just hoping momma loves this little one, I know I do!

I'm so happy, I got some nice pictures of my baby today. It was nice and sunny out in the morning and got to take pictures while my son took a nap. Ordered some pictures for my album and to send home to the new mommy :)

My daughter and I decided I am related to their 6 yr old daughter. Through the mystic expanse of genetic science, the adopted grand daughter and I share something ...

We both have ADD.

We both tend to lose focus.

Today I went in to do some sewing. Needed a small scrap of black fabric which was in the cupboard with a plethora of junk in front of it. Simple solution, just shove the pile aside, grab the fabric and get to sewing.

Four hours later, I did finally manage to sew the black bits onto my project.

And my craft room is one step closer to being really organized. Til my next project ... when I will once again pull 50 things out that won't work ... that I'll toss aside in the hunt for the perfect thing ...

And so it goes ... the creative cycle of a woman who combines ADD with hoarding.

I think I need my own reality show ... what do you think?

Obviously you are living my life ! LOL! I have to give myself a time limit and say this must be done by...then stick to it.. Once I finally get started I'm okay.. Its the get it all ready to start that throws me a curve...then there is the second guessing myself, maybe I should...not so fast maybe there is a better way...the the recriminations...Why didn't I think of that sooner stuff..I really do not like the lady that lives inside my head. She is a pain in the patute.

I am done.....wow, exhausted......but it is cute, I think, and I am happy. Had a good time shopping too.

I love reading all of this! It makes me feel not so alone in my "ways"... you know I swear things in my house actually sprout legs and walk away. I made a baby dress... I need to sew the buttons on it. I couldn't find the buttons... I found the buttons but will you believe I cannot for the life of me find the DRESS!!! Seriously??? I know that the day after I need it I will find it.


Next week the shipping begins!!! So Exciting!!! I can't wait to see all the pics!!!

someone is is "active labor"!!! I decided to have my daughter help me to the post office this morning, because I dont know whats going to happen to me next week.
I hope no one minds that I sent a little early, and Just remembered....I still have a secret santa I need to get out too now....ugh lol
O well....will have to have hubby take it for me I guess. I am hoping and praying that tomorrow will be my last day for the IV port, and the IV antibiotics.
I still have a week of the oral ones....but I can deal with that. Just want these needles.....out of my arm.

I'm sure it will be ok because someone's going to be in labor monday also .... still early but not to bad lol..... sherrie

I have been on bedrest for so long.....I really cant wait to see my new baby....I think all of this might just be worth it. At least at the end of this horrible infection, I will have a new bundle to love

Tina I hear ya! I broke my leg in Oct and I am in a boot until the day after Christmas hopefully. At least we will have a new baby to cuddle and help us feel better!!!

I have yall beat! I have a broken foot(done while shopping and in a boot! LOL) and I dislocated my finger....well...actually my 85 lb dog did! LOL UGH! My babes are going to the post monday...actually. no..they are going to the front porch....the post man picks my packages up! LOL

I just heard that someone is scheduled for an early delivery! So, if anyone is either not feeling any activity or is feeling "odd" I bet it is you!
The person who told me all this was really really chatty and told me lots of other stuff but I can't remember it all now.......just that a baby was coming earlier than later! I think I heard sometime around the sixth or seventh day of Hannukah! How terribly exciting! A Hannukah Baby for Christmas!
So Mamas......get lots of rest......even you Tina! I feel so bad for you. I had to spend two of my pregnancies on bedrest and it was miserable. I hope that your baby will get there soon for you to cuddle like you want. Hopefully your Baby Mama will be one of the early ones.
I have had a bit of twinge now and then so obviously my baby is late. ALL my babies were LATE! I am used to 44 week pregnancies! Guess I should have been an elephant!!!!!!! The babies thought so too........they tried to be as heavy as Dumbo! LOL

I cant wait for the first baby to arrive! The best part of the swap is seeing pictures :) I'm so excited!!! Sending my baby out Monday too ;)

I have to agree the best part for me is seeing all the new box opening it so exciting I can't wait until the new momma's say they enjoy there new baby so much ..... Sherrie

I'm getting so excited! I even have a place in the bassinet for the new baby. He or she will have to share the space with brothers and sisters though. I hope my baby's momma loves her new baby!!!

I am positive that all of us mamas are going to love our new little ones. Those of us who have had children probably were uncomfortable and unsure whether we could love another human being we had never seen. But, we did. Almost instantly. It's funny how that all works out! LOL
So, we all are excited and in some ways are on our Advent Journey to motherhood. Just like Mary was.
I hope I am as prepared as the Blessed Mother was for her birth! LOL

OK I forgot to tell you all Labor has began for one of you sweet lady's and i'm sorry but you have to be home for it because you have to sign for your new little one .... Lesson's learned over here lol.... You must sign ..... Sherrie

Yep! did 2 babies! I have delivery confirmation on mine, tracked through USPS.....no problems so far!

Well I was going to ship baby today, but I still have to pack baby up.

Another mama is in active labor!!! She too will have to sign. I had one bad experience with shipping and don't want to take any chances!!

Well hopefully it wont be me....that has to sign, or Malissa will have to go with me to post office....As of this morning....Ive been put on one more week....or freekin bed rest!!! I am still not allowed to use my foot, everything looks good which I am grateful for, but this being tied down, is really getting to me. Come on man..........

Well my mama's labor has come to a bit of a pause! Tom got the box awhile ago...Didn't want to pack baby up cause I am in love! anyway went to start putting all in box......no box......Tom burned it.....forgot why he had gotten it in the first place! Sometimes I wonder why we have been together more than 50 years. I think it is because Tom forgets who I am and then all things are new! LOL
No Alzheimer's......just darn right stupid!

So...Mama of new baby.......they have called the labor team specialists and they will begin your labor tomorrow. So.....rest tonight. It is the last good night sleep you may have for awhile! roflmbo!!!

I am getting so excited to start seeing all the babies!!!
I know someone is having some pretty heavy duty braxton hicks.... which sometimes can lead to full blown labor. I'm betting this is what will be happening!!! And then delievery before you know it!!!

hmmmmmm....Im wondering if these are still braxton hicks??? or labor pains im feeling. Either way.....still on bedrest.

My first baby swap..... First baby i have ever sent out. i have seperation anxiety lol. hope her new mom loves her. Got the box all packed. sent her off and sure enough i realized i forgot to include the card that says who it is from......lol.

Cant wait. To see pictures and meet my new baby.

My baby will ship out today. It's been packed up and ready to go for weeks. Long story short. I wound up staying at my parents to help take care of my 90 yr old mimi after dad had a heart attack last week. Its been crazy! I Never made it home to grab the package yesterday.
My daddy is fine, thank God!

A mama should have her new baby tomorrow!!!! So excited!!!

Sweetsherrie.....has now been delivered!!!!!!! LOL....she has posted so it is safe to leave this here

I mailed out my little one yesterday and am already missing the cuddles but the new mommy should be receiving soon so the poor little one won't have to spend too much time alone. I can't wait for my wee one... it will be a double present as my birthday is Sunday too! Hope the new momma likes my choices though... :)

Ok..another Mama has started full blown labor! Won't be long now.....baby is ON THE WAY! Of course as usual I realized I had forgotten a couple of things.....I just hope that Mama will love the baby as much as I did. doing a swap is so hard because I fall totally in love and then can't bear to pack up! LOL Was VERY late with one baby because of this problem! My hat is off to real birth mothers who generously allow another woman to love their little one forever. It must be truly wrenching !

Anyway Baby is one the way.......Mama's labor is getting really really active! Could even be tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

I, on the other hand am totally in a dither! I feel I have been in labor for days! The nice cradle that was made ready is now undone, I AM charging the camera batteries though! I simply cannot wait to get my baby!

My birthday is Saturday and this is going to be a great present.....what could be better than a new baby at Christmas time?

I shipped my baby out yesterday! I'm really hoping that her new Mommy loves her! I really enjoyed creating her!
I did the same think that Linda did... I got her all boxed up and realized I hadn't packed a card saying who the package was from. Luckily I hadn't shipped yet so I got a card and that is what I used as the shipping lable!
So watch your packages closely... if you are my swapee... your card is on the OUTSIDE of your package!!!

My swap mama's baby was sent to the (nicu...aka PO). Hopefully baby and mama can unite soon!!!
