FREE CONTEST 1/2012

OK, I promised a fun contest and people have been giving me ideas. I really like Lyndie's idea about the pictures, so here is what we will do. Please attach to this thread your favorite picture that you use for reborning references. One that we can use and add in the reference section. It can be a great hairline, swirl, close up of skintone and mottling anything you like! Please make surethe picture is of a REAL BABY and that it is a good reference pic for us all.


Winner will recieve a free Petite Ami Dress! Again, I'll have my little girl, Angie draw a name from a hat on Sunday afternoon. Let's say 2 pm EST

I would post one of my little boy as it's a great reference of 24 week preemie skintone but he had already passed in the photo so I wouldn't want to upset anyone

This is a picture of my twins at about 4 months old. Now you can see why I like the "newborn tones" LOL...they were 6 weeks preemie, and in this pic, they were only about 9 pounds...if that. I like to use this pic, for hairlines, and painting :)

Here is a great picture for the line of hair over the ear and on the face. I always have trouble with placing the hair on the face. (above and to the side of the eyebrow) And this baby is so adorable!

Thank you SO Much ... I wanted to share ... Fell free to Save The Photo in your photos ... I know not all Bi-racial little girls have THIS kind of hair issues but MINE does ... been like this since she was born ... this is why I started making headbands!! She needed help ... but now at nearly 2 she won't wear them! Poor baby was doomed from before conception! LoL her mommy has naturally curly CURLY hair and then her daddy of course has really curly hair ... so I started making them before she was born! \
But, I want to do one to look like her and I want to use the Prisma Pencils and then just root really curly on top! I saw the Whitney kit and I WANT IT BADLY!! I think she would look precious with that kit ... she had only two teeth for the longest time!!

Here is a picture of our granddaughter at just a few weeks. It shows good coloring for a preemie.

WOW!!~ Cheri, my twins werent much bigger thahis little one your showing when they were born :) nice pic. I wish they had better cameras back when they were born LOL

Lily was only 1 pound 5 ounces when she was born. But you can see the coloring compared to our daughter's hand. Plus the coloring around her eyes. You can't really see that she has eyebrows but she did. Now she is 3 and full of energy.

Cheri, Lily is precious! I have identical twin grandnieces who were full term but one was over 7 lbs. and one was less than 3 lbs. In all of the photos, our hands look giant compared to the tiny baby just as your daughters` do. Lily certainly has a nice healthy skintone in the photo.

Wow Cheri, Lily is a real little miracle! My little boy in heaven was born at 1 pound 9 at 24 weeks

Groovyday I will have to see if I can find a picture when she was first born with our daughter's hands showing how small she was. Plus they have one of her daddy's ring on her all the way up to her elbow and he is not a big guy.
Kym I am so sorry that your little boy didn't make it. Lily was 25 weeks when she was born. I really didn't think after we saw her that first night that we would ever see her grow up. Then as time progressed I was afraid she would have problems along the way. She did have to have open heart surgery in June due to a hole in her heart. The last ultrasound she had a couple weeks ago still showed a leaky valve and maybe some sort of obstruction. They don't have to go back to the cardiologist for a year so hopefully it is nothing real serious. But other than that she is a healthy, active 3 year old. She talks up a storm and know her colors, can count to 11 and knows her capital letters when she sees them. Plus she has a memory that never quits.

Cheri, I just love hearing stories like little Lily's! She was definately meant to be here on earth and I'm sure she'll be very successful her entire life! What a little joy she must be to all of you! I hope all her struggles are behind her!

My little boy was born suddenly as I had a placental abruption and I was only able to have one steroid injection for his lungs. Unfortunately being a boy, the odds were stacked against him and although he cried when he was born, his little lungs were just not developed enough

I remember them steroid injections, as well as the mag sulfate they had me on. I had to stay in the hospital for almost 19 weeks. went in at 16 weeks.... had them at 34 weeks and 5 days. they were 3 and 4 pounds....but dropped to a little over 2 after their first few days....docs told me it was normal for preemies. They are now 22, will be 23 on april 1st :)

Unfortunately they couldn't stop my labour because I was bleeding so heavily from the Placenta tearing away from my uterus and I was in a smaller country hospital. Things may have been different if I was in one of the Brisbane hospitals with special neonatal units

Yes...they are my little miracles. Doctors said I lost Anthony at the 16 week Mark, I was bleeding a lot too. They closed off my cervix, and kept me in bed as long as they could. it was hard losing my baby boy, but I have the girls still.... and looking back on it now....could I handle 3 babies at 20 years old??? LOL

Anthony made sure your girls were going to make it. It's fantastic you were able to carry them that long after losing Anthony

This is Dakota.... the baby of my daughter-in-law's friend.... she was so sweet and photogentic... took these pics right after I started reborning in 2008.... would love to see what she looks like now!
