Brand New Here

Hi,
I am so brand new to this. My daughters (13 and 7 years) saw and feel in love with a reborn. We started looking at them and decided it would be really fun to try! We have purchased three kits, a precious baby dust hair painting DVD, and the ghs paints.

I know I am buying an eBook (at least) for skin tones. I haven't picked one yet. I will be spending a lot of time in the tutorials section too.

Here are the kits we purchased for anyone interested.

We aren't going to rush, but I will post some WIP pictures as we go.

I am glad there are so many great artist willing to share their time and knowledge this way. I know I will be using the search function for answers a lot!

Meggie! First thing to do is locate the Topic in the Tutorials section that starts with How to paint the new BB vinyl because you will need to use those steps just to get the kits to a color you can then start working with an eBook with. I suggest the Strawberries & Cream eBook for your first eBook as it has more information in it for a beginner. Can't wait to see how you girls do!

Welcome to our forum Meggie, you will fall in love with the borning process and Lara offers some of the best lessons on the planet, your choice of babies are really good, you got a option on your skintypes and I think if you start out with the peach's and creme or the just born you will really love them, it gives you a totally different experience, I know the others have their favorites and I have done just about every single lesson and just can't seem to find any I like as well as these two. We all will work with you in your process and you will find lots of places to check out and just keep in mind that each one of us started right where you are at the moment so ask away. :real:

Thank you all for the welcome. I have a few more items to purchase paint-wise before we get started. Luckily our craft store has everything and it's only a couple of miles away.
