Need prayers

Well, as some of you may already know I have been fighting an infection for two weeks now. Once on the antibiotics I was getting better but today after my last pill my right side of my jaw started to swell and get tender again. The infection is back :( I have to be seen tomorrow and I'm hoping I just need a stronger antibiotic. I'm getting a little worried cause there have been a few other medical things going on that I just would rather not tell publicly and I would greatly appreciate prayers for healing in my body.

Hi April, I can relate to what you're going through as this happened to me very recently. The first antibiotics didn't touch it, and then it took 2 rounds of stronger antibiotics and a root canal treatment to sort the infection ( the tooth itself didn't have a hole in it). You poor thing!! I will certainly be praying! Maybe they can lance the area and relieve some of that pressure and help the area drain quiker. (Sorry if that sound scary, it's really not painful) I'm an RDA and I've seen it done loads of times.

Sounds like a dental issue. It could be the need for endodontic (root canal) treatment, or periodontal (gum disease). Either way, the antibiotic will arrest it, but won't cure it. I hope you are seeing a dentist. (My husband is a retired periodontist and perio abscesses respond to tetracycline and endodontic abscesses respond to penicillin preparations, but antibiotic therapy won't cure it). Hope they get this figured out for you.

Awww April....hope they can get you on something that works and get it sorted out for you.....my hubby is going thru something similar and ended up having a root canal.....

Thank you ladies. It's not in my actual jaw, it's an infected gland that sits right on top of my jaw joint that has been infected :( It's related to my sinuses and it's gotten stopped up and not draining like it's supposed to. I really appreciate the prayers cause they truest are the best medicine! I just wanted to share that I went to bed after posting my prayer request and I was in such pain. This morning the swelling and tenderness is gone!
