Well, you can get away with one. You know how? Like I did, I told Robin I had to do a swap so I could see how MY work compares with another reborner's work! You know, research and all that. Photos don't tell the whole story, after all.

LOL Karen! That's a perfect answer! I'll have to give it a try, but I think my chances of it succeeding would be better after I have at least one baby up for sale!

I like the saving money on shipping thing, but I think if I did a swap, I'd want the pleasure of the box opening with an assembled baby inside. I doubt I'd be able to get many babies from other people, so I'd want it to be special.

Of course, my babies aren't just babies, they're character babies...so someone could have the fun of choosing a character!

I may need to order one of your fantastic Harry Potter costumes in the near future. My 13 year old is a mad Harry Potter fan and has everything apart from a Harry Potter baby. She loved your Harry so I'm thinking I might make one for her birthday next July but I am soooo not capable of making a costume like that lol! Not sure if I will create Harry or Hermione? How much would you charge?

I'm not sure how much I'd ask, the Gryffindor crest was embroidered by hand, and that takes a LOT of time. I'd have to give it some thought. My Harry, Ron, and Hermoine will be for sale when they're finished, but I'm hoping to sell them as a group. The three of them are rather inseparable!

Yes that works as well Me and Janie(Nightngale ) did that she made me some of the most beautiful outfits ... and She got Walter ....I think she was happy and I know I was ..... Sherrie

I am also interested in swaps. I did the Mothers Day swap, and doing the Xmas swap, but I am always willing to do other swaps also. I will swap a reborn, or sewing/crochet items. I also sew bodies. I am willing to swap locally and internationally.

The sock monkeys are $15 shipped and the bonnets shown on the babies are $100 and the other is $150 (it's done with sewing thread!) Of course the ones in the pictures aren't for sale (they are my kids') but I can make others

Ok, the bonnets are a little out of my league at present, also the shipping I guess is USA only, we have a few Internationals on here too, so when quoting with shipping included you need to be precise. (I am International.... lol). Might get some sock omnkeys down the track a bit thugh.

I would consider coming down on the bonnets on the babies, but the other is pretty firm. It took me most of my pregnancy to make that one! I don't know much about shipping objects overseas, but the bonnets would fit in a regular envelope, so regular post would probably work on them. I'd have to see what it would cost on something like the sock monkeys.

I haven't made booties, but could probably do that, too

Becky, you have your prices you stick to them, I have done tatting and I know what work is involved, but it is so long ago I doubt I can rememebr how to do it, besides I don't have time any more and if anyone wants them bad enough they will pay your price. Heck we all expect our prices on our babies. We all have our prices that our work is worth and do not under value yourself. The only time we drop prices is if we desperately want to sell something regardless, then we will drop a price to help move it. I have been told I am not charging enough on my babies at the shows, and I slowly increasing my prices from one show to the next. One of the reasons my babies do not do the same show more than once. I will send them to evilbay rather than have stagnant stock at a show.

I have always had a hard time pricing things! I think I tend to underprice things, too! I haven't found too many people who've tatted, although I'm part of online groups regarding tatting. The tatted animals on my "portfolio" are ones I designed and are in the book I self published

I just have to tell you I absolutely love the tatted turtle!! I've collected turtles since I was 13 years old and that's the first tatted one I've ever seen!! Let me see what I have in a couple of weeks and we may just be able to make a trade for a reborn!

I designed that turtle because my husband likes sea turtles. My oldest daughter's teacher the last 2 years (same teacher, different grade) likes turtles, too!
