Removing prisma pencil? Empty
PostSubject: Removing prisma pencil?   Removing prisma pencil? EmptySun 8 Jan 2012 - 16:54

I have started to root my Avery today. Hes been sitting for a few months and I already used prisma pencil's to make a grid on my baby's head a few months back. My question is, I have been rooting and you can see the pencil lines underneath. I heard that prima pencils set after a few hours. Is there any thing I can use to lighten these lines at all?

The only thing I know of is either acetone or zit cream and both will remove the paint.

well good and bad news. Good news is that I got it to come off. Bad news is that it was with dish soap which is confusing to me. I usually do my eyebrows in prisma pencil, and they washed right off too. Its got me thinking about all my other babies and if it will be safe to use prisma pencil on my eyebrows with out putting matte varnish over it to cure in the future?

Okay, on my test, I had a kit that was prepped with matte varnish real thin before painting. I had drawn on a hair line with a dark prisma pencil about 6 months ago. The dishsoap took some of it off but not all of it, in other words, it lightened it but didn't remove it all. BUT-this makes me think we do need to seal them so that is what I will be doing from now on.

I can get it off with a pencil eraser. After such a long time, it may stay behind, but it is worth a try.

I usually use an eraser first, then soap and water.

Good Luck.
