My Girls won their Netball Grand Finals today!!!!!!

My 13 yr old Georgia and my 12 yr old Jaimee both won their Netball Grand Finals today despite the rain. Here are some pics...

My 7 year old's team don't play in finals until they reach under 10's.

Wikipedia said netball is derived from basketball. Its very similar except 7 players on court for each team instead of 5.

Lara, Karen is right it's like basketball in that they use a similar size ball and throw it up into the hoop but they cannot run with the ball or bounce it. They have to pass it to other players until they get it down to the goal circle and the Goal Attack or Goal Shooter can shoot it into the hoop.

I'll see if I can get hubby to put a little video on here (you know I couldn't do that with my computer skills lol)

Oh wow, I didn't know that you don't play netball in the US? I played netball at school, it's great fun!

Some friends of mine went to the world netball championships in Singapore. Australia won! It's held every 2 years.

together when I was at work, made all the outfits, had a great time,
played for 5 years, until most of the ladies got pregnant, our firm used to sponsor us, but
only after we won the league in the first year. lol.
