Guess who else is new to the forum... It's me Rey!

Hello from the Bay Area, Golden Gate, Marin County, living in San Rafael. I have a couple of shops in the works. Gippetto's Workshop is just off e bay store, but not yet. Double Take a Second Look Reborns will be my e bay store. The add for e bay is Angels Cradle and they are then all covered by Reys of Light Reborns. I just tuurned 49 on the 12th of Jan. I have a service dog and cat. I have learning disabilities as well as physical disabilities, one of which is chronic pain disorder, and I have Seasonal depression as well. I will sometimes be quite regular on line and then pain will take over so I wont log in for days, sorry. I used to do porcellain dolls for 10 years and the eyeco real eye morning sky is it, the blue one is based on my eyes! He took the drawing over two days and commented how the purple brown towards the iris wasnt there the day before. My eyes were turning to a lavender purple based on a shirt I had on because they change. I believe blue ice may also be based on my eyes from the day before when I ws wearing light blue and white. If I was weearing a darker blue my eyes would have been darker. Even doing porcellain dolls I was opening noses and prefered antiques where the eyes open and shut. I always wanted to make the doll as real as I could. It has been over 10 years since then and I have studied this for a year before starting. I started this month and ran out of one of my supplies so I will finish next month but it feels incredible doing art once again. :bounce:

Sorry to hear you suffer form pain as well, it is so debilitating at times. People forget that our days are constant and is just the depth that varies as pain is not visible to others a lot of the time. Yes I too suffer from chronic pain, I am 50.
My babies are what keeps me sane and I love working on them.
Looking forward to seeing some of your productions.

Wow, I've never heard of a service cat - although I have two that are so calm that I think they could be and they are local pound rescue cats. Tell us all about your fur-babies. In fact there is a new 'Off Topic' section just for pets and we need more imput.

I studied all about reborn painting for almost 3 years before I signed on for my 1st class here - I promptly signed on for 4 more. We hope you finish your doll babies, share pictures of your service babies and we welcome you hardily. (The last word, hardily, doesn't look like it is spelled right, but have you ever tried to backtalk to the spellchecker?)

I do hope you have a sense of humor, I've lived all over the US and California including Alameda Island and Monterey and started kindergarten in Las Angeles in 195one.

I have to admit I didn't read all of your introduction - although I'm going to go back and do that right now. When I saw Service dog and cat - that was so captivating that I just stopped and replied.

Hey Rey, I went back and read all that you posted, past the service animal. I love the color of Morning sky - it is so lovely. When I was first picking the colors of eyes that was the one I loved most. My husband has beautiful blue eyes and although they are different, I chose this color because they were the closest I could get. I'm saving those eyes for when I'm better at reborning.

I too am in and out - I have low thyroid and a lung condition (bronchiectaisis). It does get hard to not be able to depend on your own strength and mood, doesn't it?

Hi and welcome Rey, My name is Debbie. Just wanted to say hey and welcome you to the class and forums. You are going to love the classes and gals on the forums. Due to my busy work schedule and also working nights, I'm also usually away from the computer for days, then try to play catch up. Again, welcome.
