Happy I found you all

I'm new here.And thought I would say a little something about myself.
I'm a Wife of 21 years and a mommy. I love babies, sculpting and reborning are both my passions.
I am self taught. I love discovering new and better techniques, with my Reborns as well as my sculpting. Each keep my interest, and I am always eager to better myself I'm a perfectionist. That can be both a blessing and a curse, as I tend to be my hardest critic. When I am puzzled confused and feeling like tossing my doll out the window, I know it is time to put it away for a day or so. When I come back I seem to be able to work out my problem. I sculpt and reborn for me.
It is a form of therapy for me because I have Multiple Sclerosis. Working with the clay and reborning painting takes my mind off the discomfort and pain. I forget about everything else when I am working. Especially when I am sculpting. Normally my hands feel as if they are numbed by hot gritty sand. No matter what I touch it feels like hot gritty sand, everything except Clay. For whatever reason the clay sends a different message to my brain and all I feel is the CLAY! So that is why I Love sculpting. I Love Babies. Always have always will. I must have had about 25 special Baby dolls growing up which I have saved for my Daughter. She now collects as-well and Loves babies too. I live in Southern Calif. And I am a sculptor/reborn artist. Thank you for welcoming me in! I am so Happy to be here and look forward to sharing all that I have learned and eager to learn new things.

Hi Theresa, to the forum. Wow, that's amazing about the clay and that it feels so different to you, that is fantastic!! I would love to see some of your sculpts and reborn babies if you get a chance to post pictures. This forum is a fantastic place to learn, so many talented ladies here!!

Welcome Theresa. Yes I can totally agree with you, and your comments. Painting for me takes my mind off my pain with my disabilities and is what keeps me going each day.
You have come to the right place for caring understanding people who all have a love of the same art form. You will feel right at home here.

Welcome to our forum. Glad you found us. I would love to see your work. One day I would love to sculpt also. But, right now just trying to keep up with painting the kits. Hope to see your work soon!
