Help with choosing a head form? Empty
PostSubject: Help with choosing a head form?   Help with choosing a head form? EmptySun 1 Feb 2015 - 16:47

Hi! My name is Nadiv and I'm looking for advice on sculpting forms
for my baby, she is going to be a toddler around 24-25 inches
I've used Styrofoam balls in the past to sculpt a ball jointed cat and I've sculpted doll faces using the same
method but babies are harder right?
I was thinking about using secrist forms, but I heard they sometimes crack and are restricting so then, I thought maybe I'd use dolls so real Styrofoam head and limb forms but the heads have no features as a guide and
I'm worried I'll mess up on the nose and mouth, but I can also choose different features like how far the eyes are and where the mouth is but I'm still not sure.

Which do you think I should pick?

Also how many pounds of polymer clay should I buy and how do I root polymer
clay without ruining the baby's face?
Thank you!
