ROUND ROBIN PROBLEM

I love taking part in these every month, but could I ask whoever gets anyone from
the UK PLEASE PLEASE MARK under $10 or $12 on the customs form. I have a parcel
waiting for me in the PO and they want £14.10 ( $21.00 ) customs before I can
have delivery of the parcel. The cost of the item inside the parcel is added to the
postage and I am charged on the whole amount. Not fair but thats how it is in this
country.

Do they charge you if the item is marked as a gift? Because that's what it is: a gift.

If its marked a gift we can receive a parcel to the value of £20 ( $30.00 )
but this has to include the cost of the postage. ie. if gift worth $25 and
shipping is say $20 then parcel will get caught for customs as it comes
over the £20 ( $30 ). Shocking but true.

If not marked as a gift we can only import £15.00 in total ( $20)

Sometimes we are lucky and we get some one that is not aware that the
shipping costs goes against us.

This is why I have had to stop importing from Bountiful Babies direct or indeed
buying my fabric from the USA as the customs and handling charges is too criplling
for me now since they changed it last year.

Sorry to hear that Maxina! Since postage has been paid once it doesn't seem fair for you to have to pay again!
