The Stork Came Today!!! Update! She has been rooted. Pics on page 2

The stork arrived only moments ago to deliver my beautiful baby from Sherrie Brown. Thanks so much Sherrie! I love her! Here are my pictures of the box opening:

There have been way too many beautiful babies....but guess what??? LOL Mine is the cutest ( mommas opinion)

I just want to let everybody know what happened here. The name generator ended up putting two people together in a direct swap. That was Shannon and Marsha1971. Everything was fine up until the final check in when I could not get a hold of Marsha at all. I still don't know why, but her sister did not mention any illness or anything when I spoke to her and asked her to please contact me right away. Well rules are rules so I had to eliminate Marsha. I did give her the benefit of the doubt, though. So the two back up ladies had been told they were not needed(because all was cool until the last check in) and I was talking to Sherrie about it and Sherrie(the kit hoarder) asked what kits Shannon had wanted so I told her and although she didn't have any on her list, she did have a Kewy(Shannon had put a couple of Kewy babies on her list) so she asked if she could paint it and send it to Shannon. We knew we were under a time pressure and Shannon likes thickly rooted hair, and neither one of us root thickly so we figured if anything, I could send Shannon some mohair of her color choice to root her baby with and put the finishing touches on.

The "outfit" I sent was special to me because its a combination of items from Audrey(diaper outfit) and Kym(the bonnet and pacifier and booties) but together I thought it made a super sweet outfit.

Shannon, I'm sorry you were a victim here in the swap, and even with all my check points, one still fell through.

Karen, You did your very best to see that all was on schedule and I am so appreciative of all the efforts made to ensure I received a beautiful baby. Tobias is one of my very favorite sculpts and the clothes are truly beautiful. Thank you to you both again.

Despite the setbacks you have ended up with a gorgeous bub shannon. so sorry this happened, kno9w what it feels like, but a very happy ending. Well done girls.

Way to keep it together Karen & Sherrie. I don't envy anyone who runs a swap. I have only known of one that went smoothly and that was the one Sherrie ran for Mother's Day last year (I think that was the swap). Congrats to all the new Mommys, the babies are precious.

Well, I have rooted the beautiful swap baby and I changed out her brown eyes for blue because they matched her hair better. Here are a few pics:








Thanks again Sherrie! I love her so much! Oh and when my son, !3, was helping me with pictures yesterday he said "Now that's a pretty baby!" From a boy that's a pretty high compliment!
