Hi yall- Newbie from Texas!

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum (obviously ). I have heard lots of great things about this forum and all the ladies on it!

I am a collector. I want to start reborning but, I cant afford to get started at the moment. I hope to start with air dry or acrylics one of these days! I love this art, and hobby, and would love to make my own.

I look forward to meeting all of you, and learning from all of you. AND looking at all of your babies!

Yayy Jennifer, glad you found us!!! This is a great place to learn and I know you will do well with reborning! Sarah Beth uses air dry paints so if you have specific questions regarding that kind of paint, I'm sure she can help you out! There are a lot of very helpful people here on the forum, as well.

oiy have you come to the right place. If you like to look at babies, WE LOVE TO SHOW OURS OFF!!! You should find lots of eye candy and you will learn lots . Seeing them is one thing, learning how they are done is im pressive because the average collector has no idea what goes into creating a reborn!

and audrey you are ooooo SO RIGHT. not that im a seasoned veteran or anything in the whole reborn world, lol, but now that ive done a few...i just told karen the other day i look at reborns so differently now.

I am a newbie too and live in Australia. I have been reborning for a year now but still have plenty to learn! The ladies here are lovely and very helpful.

Welcome Jennifer! I thought I was just a collector too ... in the beginning ... then someone told me I could learn how to make dolls and I was like SERIOUSLY ????

And while it's not an economical hobby ... learning to make your own sure makes collecting easier and most times a bit cheaper.

I will definitely show you pictures of my collection. I dont have a huge collection of reborns. I have 3 and the rest of my dolls are either manufactured, porcelain or hand made. Where would be a good place for me to show them?

Hi Jennifer, It is so nice that you have found RealReborn forum. I know you from another forum. I am Groovyday there also. You will love chatting and sharing on this forum. And when you are finally ready to start reborning, you will really enjoy the learning experience. Lara and all the ladies are the best at being helpful! I, too; started out being a collector, years ago. First I got into restoring vintage dolls and then fell in love with the reborn process, so much fun! Glad you are here!
