Hello, My name is Kathy. I live in Missoula, Montana and I've been wanting a new hobby as I just found out about reborn baby dolls just a few months ago. Now, I'm very interested in learning how to make reborn dolls. I've been doing a lot of researching on how to and watched a lot of videos and that's when I found this site. So, I decided to join the site. Needles to say, I'm hooked on how to make them and I haven't started yet. lol It looks so easy. I'm very interested in using the air dry paints. I like the idea of not using the oven to heat up the house during the summer. I enjoy photography, writing, reading, crafts.

Everything looks easy at first , but believe me when you start to reborn you will find it definately is not easy.
The cost to collect eveything you need will shock you.

Having seen the air dry painted babies and the genesis painted ones, I know which one stands out
a mile and its not the air dry one.

Hi Kathy, so glad you joined RealReborn. This is a great forum for learning and chatting about reborning. Most of us use Heat Set Genesis Paints here but there are some here that use air dry that can help answer some of your questions. There are great online classes and eBooks you can buy.

That's what I'm afraid of. lol

I think I'll do is buy the body Vinyl parts and that way I could practice. Not sure where to buy them. I've been wanting a preemie little boy, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Heck, maybe it's my calling on to do this. I know buying a completed reborn dolls, can be really expensive. I've seen one for thousand dollars. I felt my jaw dropped opened on that. lol

Thanks! It seems to be. I'll have to check out the classes. There is a question I would like to ask about heat set genesis paints. I'll see if it's already been answered.
