Completed pictures due!

Pictures of your completed babies are due by this Friday, April 20, 2012. Please make sure you take photos of the face of the baby you've done and email them to me at kalena6@gmail.com Some of you have already mailed me the photos but there are many of you who haven't. Do NOT send babies out until I say, just please send me the photos by this Friday. No excuses, ladies. They don't have to be fancy pictures. They can be pictures taken with a camera phone if need be. I just need to see the babies completed and of their face.

I know I am not in the swap, but I DO LOVE to see who and what everyone gets! It's enjoying to me to see people so happy! Can hardly wait till they start arriving!! I bet you expecting Mothers are WAYYY more excited tho, right??

Completed pictures means I'd like to see the entire baby put together and ready to be shipped. I want to see the face instead of the back of the head of the doll. Hope that helps.

I have liked the check-ins. It kept me on task (on time) and made it more fun and less stressful. It was very encouraging having a "coach" cheering me on as the baby came to life! I hope the next swap I join has check-ins!

I enjoyed it too. I like deadlines because if I have a time frame in my mind, I push myself to finish in time to make it. Keeps me on track I think Karen did an awesome job with everything!

Well that stork has already made his pickup from here, Just hope they have a smooth journey across the ocean. So some mumma to be is now in labour, I wonder who she could be. I always hate this part of the swap, waiting in nervous anticipation of a safe and healthy delivery.

Ooh, sounds like Mommy-to-be is going to have a long labor! Hopefully the wait won't be too painful and baby will arrive safely!

I just want to say this is my first swap and I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate.

Ladies, please don't send babies yet if they are not going Internationally. I'm still waiting to hear from one member who has managed to get past every check point until now. Until this person checks in, I do not want her baby being sent to her so please wait for my go ahead before sending.

So, even if it gets to Friday (first mailing day) we should wait until we get the go ahead from you, right? It's not a problem for me, I'm still doing finishing touches to baby's wardrobe and etc.

I spoke to her sister and she didn't mention illness or accident so I really don't know what's going on.

I'm actually glad mailing hasn't started yet - I'm waiting on something I ordered for my swap baby, and I keep finding more little "finishing touches" that I missed.
Oh, and I need to get ink for my printer - I finally designed my own birth certificate!

Oh that's so sad. I hope she has a good reason. Good news is, Friday is almost here. Can't wait to send my little one home :)

Braxton Hicks contractions are getting stronger...delivery day is coming soon!!

I am so sorry someone has failed to follow through. Being the person affected last swap I know what it is like. I also know what it is like to receive a bub initially made for someone else in a swap too. I am so sorry that this has happened yet again.
Why oh why do people sign up and then not follow through, it just is not ethical. I hope you pass on the name Karen so anyone running a swap is able to to be aware of who fails to follow through in swaps once this swap is over.

I guess it is a good thing I got a day off and time to read this. I will mail mine either Friday or Saturday. I have to keep grandbabies Friday and work the races Sat night so I should have time one of those days.

Of course I will pass the name on. These checks were a way to protect us but not fool proof. At least we found out and was able to make a remedy BEFORE babies were mailed out.

Lol braxton hicks are referred to labour pains Karen lol. Although I never had them they are considered to be false labour pains you can get right before you have your baby.

I had Braxton Hicks ("practice contractions" which are quite normal) with all three of my kids (they started a couple months before birth). With my last one, they got more and more intense and just sort of "melted" into real labor, so I didn't even really realize that real labor had begun until I stopped to realize they were coming about 5 minutes apart.

This is what Wikipedia says about them:
"Braxton Hicks contractions, also known as false labor or practice contractions, are sporadic uterine contractions that sometimes start around 6 weeks. However, they are not usually felt until the second trimester or third trimester of pregnancy."
