Please I need help with my first AA

Hi girls I need the help of all you including Lara, these photos are from my first AA I do with Lara's ebook, I feel that the baby need more colors, especially yellow ochre, please I need that all of you are sincere in your views don't worry by criticism that I will not be mad instead of critique is where you learn100 eyes see more than 2 but the truth is if I need your help because the colors as dirty as if I see missing him more tones in the arms and legs, also need to know the hair is first time that I have painted hair and I don't feel comfortable for the size of the baby if it must be painted hair or rooting , also the style of design that I am drawing him I do not feel comfortable with the design, I have time to fix it everything that I need the help of all of you, please tell me the truth, don't want Nice compliments want to critique.

Okay this is what I see from what I can see in your pictures. It would help if you had at least one picture with all his limbs and head in it so we can see if the limbs are matching the head.

The tone looks great. I think the nails are too red. I also think the eye rims are far too red. The gums and teeth look great, but if you were to soften the edges of his lips with a mop brush, they would be more believable. Not sure I'm liking the orange coloring on the lips. I think the hair looks great so far. Keep going with it, I think its wonderful.

Ok Karen I will send you more pictures, when you said the lips with mop brush what is that mean? what color I have to use?

On caucasion babies, you blush the high spots, but on AA babies you darken the low spots. You might add a little more dimension to the skin tone by darking a little around the nose, eyes, etc.

Your overall skintone looks great. I agree with the nails looking a little too red.

Your skin tone is fantastic. Now I see what you were doing with the nail beds. Just be careful when doing nail beds.

When women put lipstick on, they usually take a piece of tissue to blot the lipstick, yes? What I do with a smaller mop brush is when I put the paint on the lips of the baby, I take the dry mop brush and blot the edges of the lips to feather it out, soften it.

Do you think that is to red the nail bed? and about the lips I know now what you mean , do you think that I have to use mint wash to fix a little it?

Try mixing a little touch of green 06 in with some flesh 08 and thinner and paint over the nails. That might be just the ticket to tone them down. The more I look at him, the more I like him!!
