Thank-you for the welcome! I have my first baby "kit" heading my way soon. I bought a Tayla kit from eBay recently. However, I'm currently swamped with costume sewing commissions so I have to force myself to work through most of those before I will be able to start actual reborning. It's gonna be tough I wanna start NOW!!

Hope you enjoy it here. Everyone is so nice and helpful, you are bound to make a success of your first reborn. I did Tayla as my first one almost 5 years ago! I am sure yours will be better than mine was. I didn't have anything to help me except the crappy printed tutorial BB sent out with the kit. I think there were only 5 steps to the painting process and then there was the rooting with scrubby mohair that felt like a brillo pad and looked only marginally better. (It was not green and soapy) We've come a long way in that relatively short time. Get Lara's just born or premie e-book and follow along and you will have a success!

Thanks for the welcome, ladies. Yes, the baby in my logo is my youngest son...I worked 9 months on that one! ;) Since I don't have a reborn to put on my logo I used a picture of my son to stand in.

I haven't checked on new members in a while, my bad! But you are so close to me I could actually hand deliver your welcome! I'm in Newaygo! On Croton pond between Croton and Hardy Dam! I get to Sparta all the time and Cedar Springs on occasion...you're just a hop, skip, and jump away! If that!

That's alright. You are in the right place to learn. Any of Lara's eBooks would be a step in the right direction and will be very informative for you.

Rachel!! Like everyone else said, you will love it here. This is a wonderful group of ladies here and everyone is very helpful, if you ever have a question don't hesitate to ask and someone will be with you shortly.
I am not sure where Greenville is but I am up by Midland so I am sure we are within an hour or so from each other.

Greenville is north of Grand Rapids, Montcalm county.

What kit are you getting? My first is a Tayla kit, though I have a few others coming my way.

My "baby" is going to be two years old on the 24th, I can't believe he's getting so big already!! And my middle child is starting kindergarten in the fall! Wow. Time flies!

Yes they do grow really quick... My daughter is going to first grade in September... I remember when she was just born... it felt like not too long ago... I'm getting the Jaden Kit, by Aleina Peterson... I hope to see your baby soon...
