Another Newbie

My name is Marie. I live in the US.

I've been interested in reborns since I was a teenager. I've finally gotten brave enough to try reborning for myself.

I'm not too certain of what I'm doing at times, so you'll probably see me around here a lot.

Welcome, Marie!! You've come to the right place to learn. You've already found the free tutorial section and I know you said you were going to check out the eBooks, also. If you have the opportunity to, you should take one of Lara's classes, too. They are fantastic!!

Hi Marie and Welcome to the best learning forum for reborners. There are so many nice ladies here that are always willing to help. Lara's classes are great and you will learn a lot. She sells e-books on her Angels In Waiting website in case you want to get started on one right away. BOL and can't wait to see your babies.

I'll definitely post some pictures once I get started. I'm still hunting down everything I need.

I know this might sound like a repetitive question, but what's the best way to bake a kit? I saw someone used a silicone muffin/cupcake pan, but others use a towel lined baking sheet? Where would I find flour-sack towels (I saw these kind of towels specifically somewhere here)?

If someone could post or message me specific instructions for baking that'd be great.

I use a baking tray with a tea towel folded in half on top and this works well for me

Marie, glad you could join us. Lara's classes and e-books are wonderful. I hope to get to know you better and see some of your work. As far as baking goes I have 2 baking racks that my son- inlaw made for me and I LOVE them. They are able to be taken out of the oven without a pot holder so I am no longer having to ask myself where oh where did I leave those darn pot holds. I turn on my oven to 265 degrees when I am starting my neutralizing layers, when they are finished my oven is ready to use. I bake my layers of paint on 265 for 8 minutes except my last layer of matte varnish I leave in for 10 minutes.
