Newbie Spring Contest!!!!

New Contest For Beginners Only! Must have reborned LESS than 10 babies to qualify! Please submit 3 pictures to me at aiw.real@gmail.com one close up, one full body and one of your choice by March 15th. This can be any baby reborned by you in the past year. Please do not have your nursery name on any of the pictures. I would like the pictures to have a spring theme! So anything that reminds you of spring!!! Make it fun!!!! If you have any questions, let me know!!! We will have a poll to determine the winner. Anyone can vote in the contest. Winner will be given a logo and sent a little prize by me!

What a great idea! Maybe doing things like this will create a little traffic for the forum. Bountiful Baby sure has a lot of chatter. I will post a note over there to see if any of our dual members qualify.

I'm a bit nervous because I've only made a few dolls so far (but have become a pro at stripping them lol). Maybe publicly displaying a completed doll will help in the confidence department. I'm always so worried about how others will view them, but I think it's time to get over that

Yep, its just like riding a bike, once you do it, you will breathe a little easier each time! I think its in all of us reborner's psyche to fret and worry about what others may or may not think about our reborns. It is supposed to be fun!! So .. as you said.. have at it!! hehehe

Only making a few dolls would be the point!! It would be good to have some contest here for some beginners!!!!

Entries have to be sent to Lara by March 15th. She will post all the entries as soon after that as possible and then will do a poll so that everyone has one vote for the baby that they feel is most skillfully done! I can remember my excitement when the polls went up on Bountiful Baby (years ago when there were monthly contests) and watching and hoping that I would get a vote. The thing to remember is that probably one or two of the entries will get the majority of the votes so not to be discouraged if you don't do well or sad for a friend that might not have done as well! It is for the fun and experience! Good luck.

I think I will enter too. I just finished my 7th baby and plan to do a photo shoot Sunday.

Quick question: Should we not share any pictures of the baby we enter until after voting?

Sarah and Lara are our contest running experts, but usually its in the contest instructions. So please don't share your pictures of your contest entry... it's a "secret"!!

Plus anyone not winning this contest, please don't show your baby or tell anyone as you can also enter it in the next contest if no one knows its your baby!! If you are not going to re-enter the baby - then yes please share!!

Yes, if you are entering your baby in the contest, I would ask that you do not post pictures of your baby until after the contest is over.

I know my first baby isn't very good and probably doesn't stand a chance but I do think this will be fun and I'm fairly proud of my first baby so far.

Showing a little of your baby's arms and legs would be great but its up to you!  Don't forget to try to add some "spring theme" to your pictures! Be sure not to show your baby before the contest - the babies in the contest will be a surprise for everyone.
