I got my package today!!
The box:
Opened:
Under the tissue:
Out of the box:
My gifts unwrapped. I got my favorite treat, Reese's peanut butter cups, cheese knives, snowman towels (I decorate the house after Christmas with snowmen and snowflakes, it's too dull between Christmas and Valentine's day, otherwise!) a lovely nativity ornament (which is now hanging on the main tree in the living room), an ADORABLE "How to Speak Droid" R2-D2 book (LOVE it!), and two reborn headbands.
R2-D2 approves:

He does love it! We're currently re-doing our dining room, and a bit of the living room (the living room will get a total re-do after Christmas) so you have to ignore the bare drywall behind R2, but here's a wider shot showing the R2-D2 lights that I leave up all year. (I normally have some R2 artwork I've done, a framed large-format foil postcard my brother got me of 3-PO and R2-D2, and a R2-D2 Valentine heart candy box my husband got me on the walls behind R2. But, with the re-do of the walls, I've taken them down temporarily.)

My favorite part about the book is that it makes R2-D2 sounds!

Nice gifts. R2 looks happy with the book I like the snowmen towels. They're really cute.

Can you tell I'm also a Star Wars fan You have to post pictures when you have everything back up again. I knew you were remodeling but didn't know you are still at it!

Yeah, we're remodeling pretty much top to bottom. Or rather, middle to top, and then bottom! lol We're working on the dining room, including the ceiling -which uncovered the upstairs bathroom plumbing which REALLY needed replacing, and that took us quite a while (you can ask Tina about that, she spent the night here before we had it fixed), then we needed to finish the walls around the bay windows in the living room since we replaced almost all the windows in the house this summer and that exposed the bare walls [no insulation] and was making it VERY cold in here. Then, we were able to get back to the dining room. We almost have all the drywall up, then it's mudding, sanding, mudding, sanding, mudding and more sanding before we can paint and put up 3' paneling and chair rail. THEN we'll move onto finishing the living room.

Yeah, I built that R2-D2 with some help from my Dad and my husband. I did a lot of sewing and drawing to trade for parts, I made some of my own, etc. (I belong to the R2-D2 Builders' Club) He's remote controlled, and go forward, backward, left, right, his dome turns, his lights light up, and he can "talk".

And, just because I want to prove I'm not the only nut out there, here's a video of a Star Wars convention in Orlando Florida August 2010. This is the R2 Builders' room. My R2 can be seen at 0:45 seconds into the video, just before the purple droid.
George Lucas himself came to visit! You can't really see him that well in this video, but you know where he is because of the crowd that surrounds him!
