My Forks in a bag... Empty
PostSubject: My Forks in a bag...   My Forks in a bag... EmptyFri 21 Dec 2012 - 23:18

I thought I'd post an update about my "Forks in a bag" I got as part of my Secret Santa gift from Carolyn. Last week, I went to Hobby Lobby. I looked at shadow boxes, but they just didn't seem right. I looked at jars, but nothing seemed right there either. Before checking out, I went by the floral department and I saw the perfect thing, it was a jar/vase big enough to showcase all my rocks and twigs from Forks, Washington that Carolyn had gotten for me. It needs a lid, but I'll try to get my husband to cut a piece of wood for me that I can stain and put on the top to keep dust out. I added a tag and some raffia for a tie. I really love how it turned out, and it has a special place on my dresser now. Thanks, Carolyn!

I love it too! I'm glad I was able to find a jar that displayed everything the way I was hoping for.

looks great, as you say if hubby can make a lid that will stop
the dust getting in.

Well, I just knew you'd come up with the perfect idea. I do have to admit I never sent anyone a bag of rocks before...LOL! It was fun...I just hope there are no left over Vamp or Werewolf germs... lol

I was thnkiing. Maybe you should spray the greenery with that greenery preserver they have for florists. I didnt know about it before I sent it. See my PM..

Thanks, ladies!

Carolyn, I've never heard of that spray. Sounds like a great idea. I replied to your PM.

Was this part of a Round Robin gift exchange from Carolyn?
