I popped in and had a quick look around and thought I'd like to stay a while! Some of you may know me from other forums.
I've been reborning for about 11 years but haven't sold much of anything for the last 2. I became a certified postpartum doula in 2010 and have been too busy teaching new parents about their real babies to actually keep my reborning business going too.
I tried to quit but found it easier said than done. Since I'm still reborning as a hobby and I still buy reborns from other artists from time to time, I do occasionally have to sell something so I don't have babies stacked up to the ceiling...mostly on Etsy and a couple on Craig's List. My nursery name has faded into obscurity, though, and most collectors would not remember me. As one of the pioneers of the art, I'm continually amazed at the heights reborning has gotten too! Quite a long ways from the days when we were dipping Berenguer parts in hot dye!

Hi, glad you joined Realreborn. It is great forum for learning and chatting. I started with the Berenguers too. I was just posting the other day about how hard it was to put those huge neck flanges in those hard vinyl heads, remember that?
