| Hi Sarah Thank you. I'm finding the wonderful forum. Could you help me, where to find information here about using paint thinning? I'm still a little lost here! Hugs Gisele | |

| Welcome Gisele, you will really love it here. As for paint thining, one of the best ways to learn is by buying one of Lara's E books http://www.angelsinwaitingnursery.com/classes.htm She actually shows pictures of what her paint looks like thinned down and she tells you how much paint to use with each step. I've studied many different tutorials, even attended a class at a local doll store and never learned as much as I have from Lara. Can't wait to get to know you. | |

| Hi I have PDF Noe Newborn. I also participated in Asian clas. Now I'm waiting anxiously for Emma Summer class. Now I'm trying to do it with thinning, but I must be doing something wrong! For press kit causes cracks, I'm scared! I post the photo here, or where should I put my question? Thank you for your help! Hugs Gisele | |

| Hi again Gisele, are you using the genesis paints? Do you use a small amount of the paint and then add the odourless thinner so that it is a very thin consistency? You don't want to put too much paint in the mixture... perhaps you could post a picture so we can see what is happening.. | |

| Yes, I'm using Genesis Paints! But I'm not using a solvent. I'm using with thinning only. That is the problem. Am I doing something wrong! I am using about 4 paint brushes for 1 / 2 Tbsp of thinning. She was getting so beautiful! | |

| Oh what a shame, I am not sure why that is happening, hopefully one of the more experienced ladies will be able to help you. | |

| I wondering if you go over it lightly with just your thinning medium and then heat set again if this will help. Its worth a try. | |

| Her skintone is si nice, otherwise. It actually makes it look like dry skin. (I know, not the look you are wanting.) I have not seen this cracking before, though, so I am not sure why it is doing that. Were you able to fix it? | |

| Hello Paula and welcome, I had this happen to me long time ago when I started experimenting with the genesis gel thining, you are using too much paint not enogh thiner, you need to add more thiner than paint... you paint needs to be transparent when mixed with the gel. give it a try. sadly you have to remove all those layers and start again. hugs, cArmen in nj | |

| Thank you ladies for the county. I'm suspicious that I may not be drying properly! My friend Lucy told me she also had a similar problem. I am making attempts to take it to the oven again. I have done two .. And in some places, such as cheeks the problem persists. I'll try again. But the vinyl on the palms and soles became shiny. I may apply matte varnish on premises? Gisele | |
