Third checkpoint-you miss this and you're out!

Although most of you have already sent your check point pictures for me for the next checkpoint, there are still many who haven't. Remember, if you do not submit WIP pictures to me via email by March 30, 2012, you will be dropped from the swap and a replacement will be made.

Ladies, if you have checked in and have already made your baby, etc...and your partner is dropped, do not fear, you will not need to make another baby as the baby you made already will just go to the replacement person.

I think I sent my second check point pictures, that was just to show progress on the kit, right? The first checkpoint was kit choice, second was progress made. Right?

Yes Rachel, this is in fact the 3rd checkpoint that is coming up, it is the second of the WIP pictures.

Okay, the wording on the first post confused me, shouldn't it actually say the THIRD checkpoint, not the second?

I am so glad that you are doing this, Karen. I know 99.99% of the ladies here are very honest, but it seems in every swap there is someone who doesn't get a baby, and we have all made the extra effort to get babies out last minutre for someone whose partner didn't make it out for one reason or another.
Anyway, I'm not in the swap, but I just wanted to say that having check points is a great idea.

This is my first swap, and from the sound of it, I'm glad it is because it's being run so carefully and so well. I don't mind the checkpoints. Having said that, I need to go take pictures. (They won't be very good...it's rainy today. Alllll week it was sunny and I just remembered today I hadn't taken any recent pictures. Oi! ) Pictures will be coming to you soon, Karen. (Thanks for changing the wording for foggy-brained people like me!)

Having been one of the past members affected by someone not doing their part in a swap I am glad you are doing this also. I ran a swap on another forum and everyone on there did do their part, but I also was on their backs along the way if I didn't hear from someone when I should have. It works.

You are doing GREAT Karen! Im not really sure why some people debated over these checkpoints, because it only makes the swap safer for everyone! I think its awesome that you are doing this! And makes me feel confident in participating.

As far as the check point goes, only one person has not checked in. I am trying to make arrangements with one of the people who volunteered to be back up, but they haven't returned my PM yet either. I think I'll shoot an email today. Perhaps her PM box is full.

Ladies, please remember not to send your doll out until I give the word.

Everybody has checked in and on track. Most are already done but one or two of us are still scrambling to get the painting finished. Remember there is another check point. All babies are to be completed by next check point because we will be mailing out soon after that check point. Do not mail packages until I say its okay to do so so we're all in sync.

I love the check point Idea.....that way, there is a "heads up" so that something can be done if need be :) No guff from me
