Kalysta ia having surgery in the morning!!

The dr had us waiting 4 weeks trying a new med for her knee problems before we moved on to exploritory surgery on her knee. She made it about 2 weeks before the pain returned and much worse. So after seeing her dr 2 weeks early, she is going for surgery in the morning! please keep her in your prayers! I will update after i get home!!

Will be saying prayers for the doctors hands to be moved with precision and care and for your daughter to have strenghth and not be so scared and for a FULL recovery..........

Sarah Beth, sending prayers your way. My son had similar surgery as a teenager. The anesthesia was worse than the surgery but the source of his knee pain was diagnosed and treated. He never had pain after that. Praying for the best outcome for Kalysta.

Thanks ladies! And barb that really gives me hope! Cause we had several options, a new med, 2 other specialists or the surgery, which was the final thing this dr could do.....we chose to go ahead with the surgery, even kalysta said lets just do the surgery. We want them to figure it out and not just experiment on her. Hopefully we will get some answers!!

After her surgery, the dr. will prescribe physical therapy, for sure. My son didn`t always do it and when we went for his first post-op check, he told the Dr. he had been doing the exercises. I shook my head, no; so the Dr. measured the muscle above the knee and compared it to the other leg and the muscle had already shrunken from not using it in that small amount of tiime. After that, my son kept up with the exercises! It hurt but in the end, he completely recovered with no more knee pain.
