Yay! Power has been restored. Here is a picture I took myself of my backyard - so surreal........

Thanks Cherie!! Wow.. I never seen sparks n stuff flying around!! We also had a bad ice storm back in 02 too!! Lost power for 10 days also.. that was a bad one.. pipes burst in our house and water was pooring through the ceiling from upstairs!! EEEk lol

We were lucky this time.. only lost power for 24 hours!!! yay!!

The ones that look the worst were Birch trees!!! The ones that broke and did the most damage to the power lines were the maple and oaks! Their
branches broke off causing all the problems - they didn't bend like the pine and the birch trees.

So Jenny, are you right back to square one with your 3rd snow storm in 11 days? Hope you're not back in the dark again!

We had our fingers crossed Mary Anne!!! We didn't lose power, and this snow dumped more inches than the last one!! I guess all the weak limbs were already

broken from the last storm!! Thank goodness my hubby was not on travel and could take care of everything!!

I'll bet you're right about the weaker branches being taken out before.  LOL we're sitting over here in the Midwest wondering "goodness, what did you guys do over there, you poor things must have done something very naughty!"

I noticed New England was getting ready for more snow! I do miss some things about New England, but not that!

It is windy in Oklahoma, but no snow!

I'm thankful to live in South Carolina... every winter!!

I could go for some South Carolina sunshine right about now!!! My poor cold bones would love some sunshine vitamin D on them!!!

Do they think it's now over? I know people who had to leave their homes due to this storm.
