| We just learned that our son in law's uncle, Micheal Funchion, was killed today in a head on collision near their home in Maryland. We have no other details as yet, as to who else was in the car etc.
Everyone is devastated. He was a great guy who you could find no fault with exceptthat he was so much fun to be with that you never wanted to leave. He and his wife had a beautiful home that was a gathering spot for 3 generations of family at least 4 times a year...even a blizzard could not keep people from driving all over the midwest to gather at their home.
He will be sorely missed and a beautiful day just got very cloudy and murky with this news.
Please keep our daughter's family and extended family in your prayers as they all go about grieving and remembering and trying to see the future without Mike.

| Thanks so much for your prayers for Sarah and Doug and all of Doug's family.
Sarah and Doug and the kids have gone to Maryland for the funeral etc. We have their hyperactive Jack Russel who is fitting in well with the two pitt bulls of Patrick's one of whom is in season! AH...Spring! LOL
They are doing pretty well all things considered. Turns out he was the only fatality. His Son (mid thirties) was in a car ahead of him and a big F450 pickup's driver fell asleep and drifted into the oncoming lane and into Mike's car. Jerry watched the accident in his rear view mirror. Horror! Please do include him in you prayers especially. He is not able to sleep, as he closes his eyes and sees the accident over and over. Time and Grace will heal them all, it is just trying to have to enter sudden grief.
